Description

Dora is a beautifully restored solid pine wine cupboard, hand painted in a soft heritage blue inspired by the gentle Waters of the river Durance, which winds its way alongside the beautiful Alpine town of Embrun in Southern France. During our travels, the ever-changing blue green tones of the river left a lasting impression and this piece captures that same sense of calm and quiet elegance.

Designed for both beauty and practicality, Dora features an open wine rack for 12 bottles, a generous drawer and a spacious double cupboard perfect for storing glassware, table linen or entertaining essentials. The warm natural timber Interior contrast beautifully with the painted exterior, highlighting the craftsmanship of the original pine.

Lovingly restored in our Yorkshire workshop, Dora is a one-of-a-kind piece, created for homes where furniture tells a story as well as serving a purpose.

Every restored piece in our collection begins with a journey. Sometimes it’s a colour spotted on a painted shutter in Provence, the soft blue of a mountain river in the French Alps, or the quiet beauty of an English country house. We bring those memories home and reinterpret them through paint, craftsmanship and timeless furniture —so every piece carries a little of the place that inspired it.

Inspired by the river Durance, France.

The river Durance  flows through the heart of Embrun  reflecting soft blue greens beneath the Alpine light watching the river wind through this beautiful French town inspired the colour of Dora a gentle reminder of slower days mountain air and peaceful waters.
